After days! of searching for the grackle Randy Hill reported the at the beginning of July and had no luck. Today while driving to our shop I bumped into a great-tailed grackle at the corner of 7th and Ash (Kiwanis Park). I live about 5 blocks away so I went got my camera and it was gone when I got back. I have to believe this is the bird Randy had first seen. It also holds the pattern of not hanging around one location. I say this because Randy called me on his cell phone and I was out looking in 10 minutes and it was gone. I am sure this bird is around moving quickly. It will turn up again especially after a good search. Also it looks pretty thin so keep that in mind when looking, it is a adult and the tail will give it away. Yellow eye was seen as I was only 10 yards from it.
