Subject: Do you catch live starlings?

I know this is a sensitive topic on this list, and this post is NOT
intended to restart the debate on starlings that has flared up now
and again.
BUT,
I know that some people do catch starlings during this time of year.
If you do, we'd love to know about it if you'd be willing to let us
use them for research. A fellow grad student intends to use
starlings in experiments on birds' sense of smell. Starlings have
been shown to select nesting material based on odor. This research
will focus on other smell capabilities. She will be testing no more
than 12 at a time, so if you catch just a few on a regular basis we'd
be happy to come pick them up in the Seattle area.

Thanks for your help,
Dan
