Here is a politically incorrect note on the Canada goose controversy. Is the goose the 21st century Starling? or English Sparrow?

After digesting this thought-provoking concept....

At least i have some excellent recipes for goose.

On a more direct note, humans create habitat preferences, e.g., reservoirs, grain fields, irrigated meadows, golf courses, lawns, areas with concentrated foods, which attract desired species and pest species. Geese are generally regarding as desired until they wear out their welcome. Hazing does not work. Trapping does work. Turning them loose after trapping them does not work. Don't be too harsh on those who are trying to deal with an artificially-created habitat overcrowding problem.
