Dear Tweeters,
Sorry about the "empty" previous message.
July 4, 2002, Martin Rd. just west of state fishing access, in Rockport (Skagit): Yellow-breasted Chat singing.
July 14: Mann Road, Fir Island, at ornamental pond where decoys often on display (Skagit): one American Bittern out in the open.
July 14, Hillcrest Park, Mount Vernon (Skagit): one Merlin (or possibly two) calling and interacting with aggressive American Crows.
July 19, Washington Park, Anacortes (Skagit): lots of Rhino. Auklets, several Pigeon Guillemots, a pair of displaying Marbled Murrelets, and Double-crested and Pelagic Cormorants.
Yours truly,
Gary Bletsch
Mount Vernon, WA
