Greetings All,

I'm looking for some advice, and some information on purchasing a decent
slidescanner. I've about had it with taking my slides to Seattle Film
Works, or Kits Cameras to have them done there. Its pretty expensive at
both places, and I haven't really seen it done to what I would call good
quality scans, especially for bird photography.

So if any of you out there have a slide scanner that you are very happy
with, or have any information on choosing a decent one that won't blow my
tiny pocketbook away, I'd love to hear back from you.

I did get some slides scanned at Kits, which was done much better than when
I had Seattle Filmworks do it a few years ago. I played with the photos on
Adobe Photoshop, but am still not pleased with how well I think they can
turn out if I was to do them myself.

Here are some of my newest additions scanned:
Spotted Owls from July 2000 near Packwood.
New scans from Kits compared with a few years ago from Seattle Film Works,

Mountain Plover from December 2000. (I actually found a roll of slides in
my desk drawer that I had yet to develop, and behold, my missing pictures
from that cold day on the beach at Fort Canby State Park.
