Greetings ALL,

Just a quick note. 23 July 2002. This morning at 645 AM, I viewed the
Upland Sandpiper
along Deno Rd in western Spokane County. The bird was seen at several
locations between .3 to .8 mile west of Hayford Rd.
The bird was at the top of one of the tall wood power line poles, also
landed on
a fire trail, and seen in flight twice. The bird looks like it moves around
quite a bit and was seen on both sides of the road. There was no sign of any
other Upland Sandpipers here, although I decided to make my visit here very
short. No vocalizations.
Basically, I got a good look and then left.
