Greeting All,

I'll chime in on the "Hummer Report". It has been a quiet summer at our place in south Kitsap County for Hummers. We had a male and female Rufous show up every evening for a while, but for the past two weeks we,ve seen only the female, and she doesn't stay long. I assume she's got a circuit around the neighborhood.

But on a more exciting note!! At least for me. I heard that peculiar buzzing call just before sunset when I was out setting a lawn sprinkler and I looked up at three circling Commoin Nighthawks, doing their best to keep down our local mosquito population. They are a county AND yard first for me, and the white wing spots were very clear in the afternoon light. What a Treat!
