Not from Ballard! Yesterday evening I had one perching beside a house
finch on the telephone wire, then the first siting of the year of two at
once (briefly) over the back yard. None seen well enough to ID, by me.

This morning, paused briefly to look at my tiny garlic patch, and lucked
into a long, close look at an immature rufous working over several Monarda
flowers. Whee!
