Sightings for Saturday, July 27

At Iona Island along the fence separating the Inner and Outer Ponds
were 2 female BULLOCK'S ORIOLES.

Along the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty were 6 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS, 3
WHIMBREL and the WILLET.

At the Base of the Roberts Bank Coal Port Jetty the following species
were reported:
1 juvenile RED-NECKED PHALAROPE, 2 RED KNOT, 1 LONG-BILLED CURLEW,
2 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, 20 DUNLIN, 50 SEMIPALMATED PLOVER,
1 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER, 400 WESTERN SANDPIPER, 20 LEAST SANDPIPERS
and 6 BONAPARTE'S GULLS.

Along the Boundary Bay forshore was 1 AMERICAN KESTREL.

Friday, July 26

At the Compensation Lagoon along the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty the
following birds were reported:
1 RUDDY TURNSTONE, 1 WHIMBREL, 2-3 BLACK OYSTERCATHCERS,
3 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 1 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER and 140 CASPIAN TERNS.

At the base of the Jetty on the South Side was the WILLET.

At the base of the Roberts Bank Coal Port Jetty were 97 SEMIPALMATED
PLOVERS, 30 LEAST SANDPIPERS and 20 WESTERN SANDPIPERS.

At the foot of 96th Street in Boundary Bay were 100 SEMIPALMATED
PLOVERS.

Thursday, July 25

In a late report an AMERICAN KESTREL was watched soaring over 11th
Street in West Vancouver.
