I birded Spencer Island yesterday. I only had 38 species but then I
am not that great of a birder. Among my sightings were:
Eastern Kingbird
Long Billed Dowitcher
Belted kingfisher
Cinnamon teal
Hooded mergansers
Virginia rails
Northern harrier
Caspian tern
Osprey
Spotted Sandpiper
Warbling vireo
cedar waxwings
Pied-billed grebes (with striped younglings)
Black-headed grosbeaks
yellow warblers
Swainson's thrush
Mourning doves
Bewick's wren
and the usual marsh birds and swallows
