Diane,
I couldn't agree more. People in their enthusiasm seem to forget some very
basic rules of birding ethics. I was dismayed to hear that some
"professional" birders had determined that it is okay to proceed off the road
and get close to the birds nest building area. Other people seeing the
trampled path and follow suit thinking if others got close, it must be okay.
I saw this bird and enjoyed it with other birders from the vantage point on
the road. Enough said, dismount soap box.
