Jim Pruske and I spent the morning birding Black Lake Meadows and two
other spots in the local Olympia area. One being Grass Lake, and the
other, the William Cannon Footpath at Mud Bay. We gave the Chat a long
shot, even knowing they usually don't stay. We checked the last known
area, but it seems that the Chat has left, and has been replaced with a
female Bullock's Oriole. Here's a few birds for the morning.

Black Lake Meadows:
female Bullock's Oriole - 1
Vaux's Swift - 2
Green Heron - 2
Willow Flycatcher - several
California Quail - several calling
Black Headed Grosbeak - 1
Orange Crowned Warbler - several singing
Wilson's Warbler - several

Grass Lake:
Orange Crowned Warbler - several
Black Throated Gray Warbler - 2
Wilson's Warbler - many
Cassin's Vireo - 1
Warbling Vireo - 1
Western Tanager - 2
Willow flycatcher - 1
Pacific Slope Flycatcher - 4
Black Headed Grosbeak - 1

William Cannon Footpath:
Pacific Slope Flycatcher - 1
Willow Flycatcher - 3
Golden Crowned Kinglet - 2 adults feeding 4 young sitting in a row on a
fir tree branch.
