Inlanders and Tweeters,

Today while surveying on the reservation, I came acrossed one singing Clay-colored Sparrow. The bird appeared to be on territory, and the area looks like it would be good breeding habitat (brushy field along the river).

I also found two singing Least Flycatchers in an aspen grove on the west side of the river (different location than single bird reported earlier). The birds can be heard from SR 20, but seeing them is impossible. The thicket is about 100 yards off of the highway and 1 mile north of the Tacoma Creek Bridge.
