Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 6. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On May 28 a MOURNING WARBLER, an OVENBIRD, a COMMON GRACKLE, and a
GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE were reported from Fields.

A male MAGNOLIA WARBLER was at the P Ranch in Malheur NWR June 1. On June 3
a male BAY-BREASTED WARBLER was at Malheur Headquarters. On June 5 a male
HERMIT WARBLER was there. A male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was at Headquarters
May 31.

A MANX SHEARWATER was off Boiler Bay June 2.

An adult SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER and a MOCKINGBIRD continue to be seen
near Cape Blanco. On June 3 a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was at nearby Flores
Lake. On June 2 a flock of 12 WHITE PELICANS flew over the lake.

A BLACK SWIFT was over Cascade Head, north of Lincoln City May 30. On June 2
one was at New River and 21 were over the North Spit of Coos Bay. The next
day one was over Powell Butte Park in Gresham.

On May 31 a SANDHILL CRANE flew over Brookings. A couple of HEERMANN'S GULLS
were off Boiler Bay June 1. The next day one was at the South Jetty of the
Columbia River.

On June 3 a MOCKINGBIRD was in southeast Portland. An EARED GREBE was at the
Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove June 5. Seven WHITE PELICANS were at
Baskett Slough NWR June 4. The GRASSHOPPER SPARROW continues to be seen near
the Morgan Lake dam on the refuge. Another is being seen along Belt Road
near Brownsville. A BLACK PHOEBE was at Ankeny NWR May 30.
