Hi Tweets,

I got an e-mail this morning from a woman who lives north of Kittitas, just
east of Ellensburg, saying that she had a White-winged Dove, a species she
was very familiar with from when she lived in Texas, at her feeder until
about 9:00 this morning. I e-mailed back asking her to phone me as soon as
possible. It was four this afternoon before she got back to my wife, who
had my cell phone. I didn't get to question her on the sighting but it
sounds good. She did get a few photos of it.

Her house is on Brick Mill Road about four miles north of Kittitas. From
I-90, take the Kittitas exit and go north through Kittitas. You come to a
"T" at the north end of the main street in Kittitas; turn right and then
left on No. 81 Road (just follow the arterial). Go about four miles to
Brick Mill Road; turn right. Her house is about .2 mile east of No. 81
Road. It is on the south side of the road - a cream colored house with a
green roof. There is a large frame over the gate with a weathered set of
elk antlers on it. The gate will be locked on Sunday. The feeders are
visible from the road. Don't try to enter the yard.

My wife and I got to the house at about 5:30 this evening and drove the
roads in the area. We found two Common Snipe sitting on fence posts and two
Gray Partridge walking across the road just east of the woman's house. No
doves of any kind. I am planning on going up there again in the morning.
