Tweets,
As of 3 pm today the heron was still in that marsh and upon arriving back at the residence on Brick Mill Rd was able to see the WHITE-WINGED DOVE just before it flew off, it had been seen a couple of times today. The feeders are very easy to see from the side street, so people coming from the bird should be able to observe the feeders fine without having to come into the yard.
Also wanted to thank Bob Flores for finding the Alder. I've had lots of expereince with Alders up around Fairbanks, AK, and this bird fit in both call note and song to a typical alder. Based on the birds habits, I think there is a good chance the bird will stick around for a few days. That area is also very productive. A philadelphia Vireo and alder Flycatcher in this place this week, what else might be lurking in here? This spot holds good potential for other interesting birds.
Also in the area was 1 Turkey, 1 Bewicks Wren, 1 very bright Townsend's Warbler and good numbers of Orioles, Eastern Kingbirds and other typical riparian birds. Had a caspian tern fly over as well. 3 state birds in one day, not bad.

Good Birding
