For Central Washington, which for this e-mail includes Yakima and Kittitas
Counties, it has been an incredible past four weeks. Here are the rarieties:

May 18 - Indigo Bunting at feeder on the east side of Yakima.

May 25 - Blue-gray Gnatcatcher in Hardy Canyon north of Wenas Lake found by
Tyler Davis and Brendan McGarry.

June 1 - Rose-breasted Grosbeak that stayed only through that afternoon at a
house on Hanson Road west of Ellensburg.
Unfortunately, because of a miscommunication, it was reported
on BirdYak but not on Tweeters. It was gone by the
morning of June 9.

June 8 - White-winged Dove at a feeder on Brick Mill Road north of Kittitas.

June 8 - Little Blue Heron at a small marsh on Ringer Road off Canyon Road
south of Ellensburg.

Photos of all of these birds, and many more, can be seen on the BirdYak website:

Our heads are still spinning here in Central Washington. What will be
coming next? Let's just hope this streak continues!
