I wish to thank all of you for your criticism, I can only hope it is intended to be positive, of the bird ( alder flycatcher) I found at Crab Creek. I knew when I first located this bird that there would be discussion. I hope all of you get a chance to drive over to verify the call and song that it is vocalizing other wise you may never know what it sounds like. What I mean is that everybody, or atleast most, hear vocalizations alittle differently. I really hate describing vocalizations, my European starling qualities at imitating are poor. As far as some claiming a recording was made, I had tried to record this bird but with equipment not suited for it. Hence I produced nothing clear. The combo of the whispering call and song with the wind left me frustrated. I had the bird at yards away and could not get a good recording.

My only suggestion to the commenters is to invite you to come over the Mountain and see it for yourself. I will be sending the Rare Bird Committee my notes , pics, etc. and will let them sort it out. For as a non State Lister I really do not get worked up about it. Gene from your comments you must be on the RB Committee and will have your say again.
