Today, Vicki Biltz and I headed out to Ellensburg in search of the
BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, WHITE-WINGED DOVE and LITTLE BLUE HERON. We were
joined later in the day at the dove location by Steve Pink and Bart Whelton.

As far as any of us know, neither the dove nor the heron were seen by
anyone, today.

Vicki and I spent 1 1/2 hours looking for the gnatcatcher, and found no
sign of it. We did not go right up to the bush with the nest. Bart
apparently arrived at the spot awhile after we left. He also spent about 1
1/2 hours looking for the bird, but finally heard it vocalizing and got a
brief look. Bart said that the nest has disappeared completely. There
seems to have been a change in the bird's behavior; it is not staying close
to the original nest site, anymore.

We did hear a second-hand report that the Ritzville Philadelphia Vireo has
been relocated.
