Subject: Crows Pillage GBH Rookery

Hi Tweeters,

The crows have been pretty aggressive this year, first a Bald Eagle and now the GBH family. About a month ago I saw about 6 crows harassing a GBH at the Montlake fill. The Heron was not happy and was folding it's neck down and striking at the crows. Finally it flew off followed by the crows.

Several years ago I saw about 2 or 3 crows pecking at a squirrel that was not quite dead yet at Marymoor. It was pretty obvious the squirrel may have had only hours at most to live, barely moving, etc., but it was fairly disturbing to see the crows working on it.
