This afternoon, June 14, 4 new black-capped chickadees leaped into the
air from our anti-sparrow nestbox.
Ok, ok, not leaped. Fell out, fluttered to the ground.

But within 10 minutes were flying up and down the yard, following mom and
dad and demanding more food.
Their flying skills improve quite rapidly, which is good, because
their landing skills don't. So far, it's point and fly and land on
anything that gets in the way.

This includes ending up upside down, sideways and on top of each other.
Most entertaining.

We've had double nestings in the past. Maybe we'll get lucky this year
and get another nesting.
