Hi Tweeters:

There is a photo contest this summer on the Olympic Peninsula. We at the
Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society invite you to enter your favorite BIRDS
and other nature photos in "Our Beautiful Olympic Rivers" photo contest,
being held in conjunction with this year's
Dungeness River Festival. The free festival is September 27th & 28th at
Railroad Bridge Park in Sequim and the photo exhibit will be in the new
Dungeness River Audubon Center at the Park during the festival. We are so
fortunate to have world-renowned wildlife and nature photographers Erwin and
Peggy Bauer as this year's judges, so share your best with the best. Photo
deadline is September 13th.

In addition, we have put together photo workshops with photo shoots along
the Dungeness River on three Saturday mornings in August, led by talented,
local professionals. For each workshop you attend, you are eligible to
enter one of your photos into the contest for free ($5 entry fee waived).

Get rules and entry forms at Frick's in Sequim, Camera Corner in Port
Angeles, or reply to me, or get it off our website: olympus.net/opas.

I especially hope you bird enthusiasts will enter bird photos in the
"Celebrating Wildlife" category so we can create a showplace for the great
diversity of birds in our area. Other wildlife photos will be appreciated
too. Thanks, and write if you have any questions.
