Subject: peregrine falcon in Othello

Can anybody tell me why an adult peregrine would be hanging out in downtown
Othello in the middle of June? I guess ESA de-listing was appropriate. I
saw the bird yesterday and again this evening, using the platform on the
communications tower across from the Best Western Lincoln Inn. This happens
to be the same area where a peregrine was seen during the Crane Festival 12
weeks ago. I found a mostly eaten coot in the vacant lot under the tower,
so it must be heading out of town for a meal.

No ibis seen the last few days, but there are a gazillion ducks and lots of
stilts at the Para Ponds.
