Greets --
I am really happy about seeing the sora again this morning at Narbeck.
The sora was accompanied by two baby chicks. That was even more exciting
than seeing the four Virginia rails at Narbeck one morning last week. The
green herons are quite active now too (I saw six green heron the same morning
I saw the four Virginia rail.
Yesterday morning I saw an otter in the main pond at Narbeck. This is
the first time I have seen an otter there. I saw a beaver there once, and I
often see several muskrats per visit. An otter just seems out of place. It
was finding plenty to eat but how did it get there? There is a really small
creek that flows out of Narbeck. Is it possible the otter came up the creek.
Oh well. It was a very pleasant surprise.
