Yes, the nesting Barn Swallows at the Des Moines Marina fell from over 70
nesting pairs to less than 10 pairs last spring from my surveys across
7 years. Apparently, Barn Swallows had nested 50 to 100 pairs for
decades at this marina as told to me by harbormaster workers. I haven't
checked down there this season, but hope to this weekend. Will keep you
posted.
