BlankI spent a nice weekend around Trout Lake in Klickitat and Skamania county. Waking up to Pygmy Owl, lots of Hermit Warblers, and Pacific-slope Flycatcher at Peterson Prairie is always nice for this east side guy. Finding a Dusky Flycatcher at eye level sitting on 4 eggs less than 6 feet away in some vine maples in the Natural Bridges canyon was unexpected.

The highlight was a Gray Catbird along the road just outside of Trout Lake on Highway 141 about halfway between the Ranger Station and Trout Lake Creek Road (FR 88) - The road to Elk River RV Park.

Although this bird is really rare for the county, some of the areas around Trout Lake look pretty good for this species.
