Tweets and OBOL,
I just returned home from the WOS conference and then a trip to Malheur. It
was fantastic. Hopefully, I will get to write a trip report soon. On the
way home, I encountered this hawk feeding its young in John Day Fossil Bed
area in Wheeler county, OR along 207 in the Service Creek area. I
encountered three birds in the area as well as the baby. I didn't attempt
pictures of the hawks circling but never saw a red-tail. I thought these to
be Swainson's. Am I correct? Pictures taken during windy conditions with
my Nikon 990 and Leica Scope (20-60x)lens.
