Hi Tweeters:
Congratulations to Ryan & Charlie for the great pictures of the Great Gray
Owl in the Blue Mts, near Walla Walla, WA. I hope Charlie will bring the
video tape to a WOS meeting sometime, so we all can view this GGOW's family
behavior. Last year at a WOS meeting we all got to view a video of the
Northern Hobby at Discovery Park in Seattle, perched and then flying. When
it was perched, a view that would have been captured in a photograph, you
could barely tell what species it was. But as the video continued, the bird
took off from the perch, and we all got to see it's flight behavior w/ its
long wings and boyant flight. Wow, what a great way to document birds and
their behavior!
Now w/ these great video captures, viewable by us all on the web, we get to
see the birds up close on our computers. Thanks so much, Ryan and Charlie.
Yours, Carol Schulz
