Saturday afternoon I headed toward the Alder in question, sleeping on a FSR on the way there.

TV reports were June 22nd

Hwy 90 and 18 1

I had large numbers of great birds off a forest service road, didn't get the # but near Havillah some highlights for me;
Barred Owls 2
Great Horned 1
Olive Sided Flycatchers large numbers

The Alder site was busy and sights nearby some highlights for me...
both Trail's flycatchers in shrubbery nearby.......compared call notes and markings
Swainson's Hawk
Snipe
Warb. Vireo
both bluebirds
Red-naped Sapsucker
Following Havilla (Kiplinger Rd) to end
found tiny white tailed fawn laying quietly in grass, almost stepped on it!!!
crossing onto Davies Rd found Teal Lake
Cinnamon Teal (1)
Common Goldeneyes 1 w/ 7, 2 w/none
lots of other ducks, flycatchers etc.
Pine Grosbeak (1st for me)
Mary Anne Crk Road
lots of Willow Flycatchers with weird songs
lots of great stuff....
Molson area and lakes
Eared Grebes Black terns Common Loon Red-Necked Grebe
On Cameron Lk Road Poorwills Common Night Hawks
Swakane just south of the town of Entiat on Hwy 97a
Yellow Breasted Chat (more than I have ever seen in the whole state ever!!!)
down at first FSR and large campsite Road #5215
Chukar on ledge and a number below calling back and forth, more a few miles down.
Canyon Wren, Rock Wren, Lazuli's, 3 Vireo species, all possible Warblers, Lewis WP, Black Chinned and Calliope Hummers several on trip
following main road, which gets rough for nice cars it gradually came out to Cashmere on Nahahum Canyon. That is most highlights.....................Vicki Biltz Bonney Lake Wa
