Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 27. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

On June 23 a NORTHERN PARULA was near Baker Beach Road north of Florence. An
OVENBIRD is now at South Beach in Newport. If interested in seeing this bird
it is near 311 SE 35th St. A HORNED PUFFIN flew past Boiler Bay June 21. A
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was three miles south of Yaquina Bay June 23.

The first returning WESTERN SANDPIPERS were seen along the coast June 22. A
SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER was at Yaquina Bay that day. A group of 75 MARBLED
MURRELETS was off Yachats June 22. On June 19 a WESTERN KINGBIRD was along
the nature trail at Yaquina Bay.

On June 25 an ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was in Clackamas along the nature
trail near the Costco Store.

Five WHITE PELICANS were observed June 24 flying over the I 205 Bridge east
of Portland. On June 26 eight were seen nearby at the Steigerwald NWR. WHITE
PELICANS are still being seen at Fern Ridge Reservoir. The TRICOLORED
BLACKBIRD continues to be seen at the Fernhill Wetlands.

The LEAST FLYCATCHER continues to be seen at Clyde Holliday State Park near
Mt. Vernon. FLAMMULATED OWLS were at Starr Campground south of John Day
during the week and UPLAND SANDPIPERS were near the end of Scotty Creek Road
near Seneca. BOBOLINKS were reported during the week south of Prairie City,
near Ukiah, and near Paisley.
