Three cheers for both post by Paul Webster!!!
I completely agree with your thoughts and posts on this subject.

If anyone who hasn't made it on the "A" list of birders in the Owl secret
society loop would like another place to look for Great Grays, I have had
great success year after year in the Okannogan. Around a mile or so passed
the Bonaparte Lake Campground(s) is a dirt forrest service road with a sign
for the "Virginia-Lily Trail". Turn right here and stay to the left when the
road forks. Start looking in the small clearings on both sides. I had a
Great Gray three or four years running in this area. Some night you can hear
them from the campground.

Take care,
Katie
