Where is University Place? If it's the home of central WA U or Eastern WA
U, house wrens have a buzzing call that sounds kind of rattlesnake-like. If
it's a a long, drawn out trilling that changes pitch every few seconds and
makes you wonder when it's going to stop for breath, it's probably a
Brewer's Sparrow. Since your signature indicates this bird is in a
residential neighborhood, I'd go with the House Wren.
