Subject: Great Gray Owls, (again)

Mike and MerryLynn Denny just called and asked us to report yet another
GREAT GRAY OWL sighting. Today, they were in the Blue Mountains southeast
of Waitsburg, WA on the Walla Walla/Columbia county line. (Now, should I or
should I not, post the precise location of non-nesting owls?--Just
considering the response to the last posting I did for Mike.) Two sub-adult
Great Gray Owls were seen flying in both counties (they flew from one side
of the road to the other).

They also discovered some excellent birding habitat along the South Fork of
the Touchet River just south of Dayton, WA.

When we posted our Great Gray Owl report last week, we were not aware of the
previous GGOW postings. We had just returned from a wonderful birding trip
to South East Arizona and had not re-activated our Tweeters subscription
until I posted the report.
