I stopped by the Julia S. Butler NWR Wednesday (2-27) morning in search of
the Black Phoebe, which I did not see in 1 1/2 hours of searching. The
refuge personnel told me it had been seen early in the morning the day
before from the deck at the office.

At the Ridgefield NWR River S unit I saw one Cinnamon Teal and one Eurasian
Wigeon on a pond I believe on the southern portion of the drive. The
numbers of small Canada Geese were impressive as were the 70-80 Sandhill Cranes.
