Hello,
I am seeking information on two trumpeter swans that are wearing neck
bands. The bands are green and one is 9A1 the other is 8A7.
These birds have been wintering in the Chehalis Valley (9A1) area or the
outer coast (8A7). The migration has begun and 9A1 is on the move. She was
seen at Fawn Lake near Shelton on Saturday March 2, gone on Sunday. She is
part of a 6 swan group (her mate and 4 juveniles). The other bird may still
be in the Chehalis area and is wearing a satellite transmitter. 9A1 is no
longer wearing a transmitter.
Anyone seeing 9A1 over the next few weeks -- please contact me off the
list.
If you want to know more about these birds see our web site and click on
Shadow the Swans. It is a great project.
Thanks.
