Hi Bellevue Birders:

I have been contacted by a UW student in wetland ecology that very
much needs some help with a project she is working on. This Saturday she
will be leading a field trip at the Mercer Slough and needs some info on the
birds (and any other wildlife) that are seen there. If you know this area,
please take a few minutes to drop her an email with a little info.

What to include:
what migratory birds are common there?
what makes the Mercer Slough attractive to birds?
what is the status of Great Blue Herons at the slough, and why is it
attractive to them?

Her contact info:
Yvonne Engels

She thanks you in advance for any and all information!

For those of you who have never birded this urban oasis in Bellevue,
checkout the following links for information and directions. Its a great
place.
