I saw the Painted Bunting this afternoon (Tuesday) at about 5:15 pm.
No hostile glares from the residents and no big crowds. It was low,
skulking in a small blackerry thicket at the base of the poles
supporting the balcony with the feeder. Lovely bird & quite a
stunning contrast to the junco flock nearby (which contained a
"slate-colored" form...)

Let's hear it for respectly use of public property to observe birds
(that's my editorial).
