Hi Tweeters,

Phil Mattocks just called me - 2:15 p.m. Sunday - to report he has been
observing the Common Grackle on Birchfield Road east of Yakima for the past
half hour. He was seeing it on the east side of the road, so it is
wandering around the area with the mixed flock of blackbirds. It has
usually been seen on the west side of the road near the horse/llama corrals
or to the west in the pastures.

I have put new photos of it on the BirdYak website:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BirdYak/

Also new on the website is a photo I took yesterday afternoon of a juvenile
Sharp-shinned Hawk eating a white domestic pigeon it had just killed. It
had quite a feast.

Enjoy,

Denny
