Hi Tweets:

Beginning on March 21, 1999, a Red-breasted Sapsucker pounded on the house
rain-water downspout for 64 days. I'd open the second story window and
quietly talk to the sapsucker. The pair nested across the street. One
youngster fledged on June 21st. Two adult sapsuckers used the same downspout
from July 2 to July 12, 1999.
This sapsucker nest sighting is on record at the Burke Museum, Northwest Nest
Record Program.
