evening update,

The featured birds are HARRIS'S SPARROW and GLAUCOUS GULL.

Northern Flicker (Yellow-shafted) [Pitt Meadows]
Violet-green Swallow [Burnaby Lake]
Tree Swallow [Burnaby Lake]
American Dipper [Coquitlam]
Crested Myna [Wylie & 2nd]
Townsend's Warbler [Stanley Park]
Harris's Sparrow [Tsawwassen]
Western Meadowlark [Sea Island, Iona, Blackie Spit]
Common Redpoll [Burnaby, Abbotsford]

Sightings for Saturday, March 16th.

A HARRIS'S SPARROW was relocated west of the school near Beach Grove park in
Tsawwassen (RW)

A GLAUCOUS GULL was seen on the logs on the north arm of the Fraser River in
Iona Regional Park (KR)

A TOWNSEND'S WARBLER was seen in Stanley Park near the Rawlin's Trail. (CW)

Three WESTERN MEADOWLARKS were on Sea Island and two more were at Iona. (KR)

There was a pair of RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKERS and a flock of 20 COMMON
REDPOLLS at Forest Grove Park on
Forest Grove Drive in Burnaby. (JH)

The 2 CRESTED MYNAS were seen on Wylie Street in Vancouver. (JH)

A male ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD was at the entrance to Kloochman Park in West
Vancouver. (TPk)

Sightings for Friday, March 15th

A GREAT-HORNED OWL was feeding two fledgling young in Burnaby Lake Park
along the Conifer Loop
trail and the birds were in deciduous trees. There were also numerous
VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS and
TREE SWALLOWS in the park.

An AMERICAN DIPPER was seen on the Coquitlam river in North Coquitlam Park
(LT)

There were no sightings for Thursday, March 14th.

Sightings for Wednesday, March 13th

A COMMON REDPOLL was visiting a feeder in the 6900 block of Bradner Road in
Abbotsford. (CB)

Sightings for Tuesday, March 12th

One WESTERN MEADOWLARK was seen at Blackie Spit.

A YELLOW-SHAFTED NORTHERN FLICKER was seen along the south Allouette River
between 210 and 216th street.

A WESTERN GULL was at the tip of the Iona south jetty as well as a male
RING-NECKED DUCK in the outer ponds at
Iona Regional park.
