Sightings for Tuesday, March 19th

The 2 CRESTED MYNAS were seen at 2nd and Wylie in Vancouver. (RF)

A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen at the foot of 12th in Boundary Bay Regional Park
in Tsawassen. (RS).

A massive flock of scoters, possibly over 100,000 birds, including all three
species and many sea ducks were seen feeding off the Iona south jetty (MMe,
RTo)

A brief glimps of a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was in the Rhododendrons at Cecil
Green Park.

On the mudflats of Spanish Banks west of Locarno beach was an adult WESTERN
GULL and CALIFORNIA GULL among
the many gulls and DUNLIN on the beach.

Sightings for Monday, March 18th

Fourteen COMMON REDPOLLS were feeding in a Tamarack tree near 21st avenue
and 153A in south Surrey (JAM)

Sightings for Sunday, March 17th.

The WILLET was seen at the base of the Tsawassen ferry jetty on the south
side. On the north side was the AMERICAN BLACK DUCK present with a MALLARD
hen and many hundreds of MEW GULLS and a WESTERN GULL were on the mudflats
at low tide. (RTo, MMe) 2 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were preening on the beach on
the south side of the jetty near the boat launch and 6 BLACK TURNSTONES were
on the south side of the jetty nearest the ferries. One BLACK BRANT flew by.

12 COMMON REDPOLLS were in alders in Beach Grove Park in Tsawassen and 2
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS were also present in the forest. (RTo, MMe)

A PEREGRIN FALCON was sitting on a field along 36th ave west of 72nd street
in Delta and near the barns on 36th were up to 4 BARN OWLS. (MMc)

A TOWNSEND'S WARBLER was seen in Stanley Park along the Rawlin's trail just
past the Bridal Path (CW).

At Burnaby Lake Park over 30 VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS 4 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and
11 DOWITCHERS were seen. (RF)

Sightings for Saturday, March 16th.

A HARRIS'S SPARROW was relocated west of the school near Beach Grove park in
Tsawwassen. (RW)

A GLAUCOUS GULL was seen on the logs on the north arm of the Fraser River in
Iona Regional Park. (KR)

A TOWNSEND'S WARBLER was seen in Stanley Park near the Rawlin's Trail. (CW)

Three WESTERN MEADOWLARKS were on Sea Island and two more were at Iona. (KR)

There was a pair of RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKERS and a flock of 20 COMMON
REDPOLLS at Forest Grove Park on Forest Grove Drive in Burnaby. (JH)

The 2 CRESTED MYNAS were seen on Wylie Street in Vancouver. (JH)

A male ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD was at the entrance to Kloochman Park in West
