Just ran out to Ridgefield NWR here in Clark Co. Many of the wintering
species have left such as swans, cranes, etc. But driving the loop near the
southern end of it I had 14 Long-billed Dowitchers.
Also anyone driving through Clark Co. at night watch for Barn Owls. I had
one fly over the weigh station going north around 4:45 am Monday morning.
Barn Owls are still quite common here in Clark Co. until all the old barns
are replaced by subdivisions.
