Ethel Willis and I took a short trip up to find the Falcated Duck. We
pulled up to the base of Samish Island about 7:40am and found the duck
literally within 30 seconds of stepping out of the car. The bird was in the
pond/mud area feeding with the other wigeon about 50 yards away from us.
Good luck. We dipped on the yellow billed later in the day.
