Greetings Tweeters.

My wife and I got away this morning to see if we could chase down the Gryfalcon south of Olympia. Perhaps I should retitle this Lewis Co. Gyrfalcon. By the time we finally spotted him, at about noon, he was at the dead end of Wagner Road, off Goodrich Road in Lewis County. As is often the case, we were about to give up when the Gyr glided in and lit on a tall fir about 50 to 60 yards from us. He remained in the tree for the remainder of our stay, but we had good long looks at the field marks. Lovely bird and also a Lifer for me! What a week! Last Sunday I get a Bunting that should be in Mexico, and today I get a falcon that should be in Canada! I love this hobby!
