Today, I helped Jim Pruske on his monthly census for the Nisqually
Refuge. Here's a few sightings for the morning.

Great Horned Owl (1 adult 2 owlets)
Peregrine Falcon (soaring over the willow ponds along with a Bald Eagle)
Merlin (perched on a snag over the Nisqually River)
Pacific Loon (in the bay)
Huttons Vireo (from the Nisqually River trail)
Rufous Hummingbird (several from the Nisqually River trail)
Savanah Sparrow (lots singing in the grassy fields)
Common Yellowthroat (2 singing near the willow pond)
Greater Yellowlegs (4 in the willow ponds)
Dunlin (30+ in the willow ponds)
