I don't have any wisdom on the subject of deformities in osprey nestlings. Hopefully, no
one will make any pronouncements of doom over a single deformity. That said, I'm sure
glad there are people willing to devote their time to collecting the information and the
samples to allow a more informed appraisal of the situation. It sure seems reasonable to
suspect a problem with contaminants in this area.
