Tweets - it was a great success last year, so I'll do it again. Designed to be
more interesting than a Big (boring) Sit, the Marymoor Big Morning attempts to
find ALL the species at Marymoor by swamping the place with birders. Last year
we split into 5 groups, all starting simultaneously from 5 different locations,
walking 5 different routes. Armed with FRS radios, we were able to brag to
each other about what we'd seen. In total, we racked up 71 species, including
the only WESTERN BLUEBIRD ever reported, plus the highlight (which I also sadly
missed) of a family of BROWN CREEPER with 5 young.

I'd like to try this again, so we'll meet at 6:30 AM on May 16, at the usual
spot at the SW corner of the Dog Area parking lot. Please let me know if you
can come out, and bring your FRS radio if you have one. We'll be birding until
noon, but even if you can only stay a few hours, it would be great to have more
eyes and ears. You're never more than 3/4ths of a mile from your car at
Marymoor, so a quick exit is easy.
