Sightings for Saturday, May 4th

At Iona today were a PEREGRINE FALCON, a MERLIN, 5 SEMI-PALMATED PLOVERS
and 6 YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS.

Sightings for Friday, May 3rd

At Burnaby Mountain Park, 2 CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS were present. Another
CALLIOPE was seen at Cecil Green near UBC. At Queen Elizabeth Park were 2
WILSON'S WARBLERS, a MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER, a WARBLING VIREO and a BARRED
OWL.

At Iona were 6 SEMI-PALMATED PLOVERS and 2 BLUE-WINGED TEALS. Another 6
SEMI-PALMATED PLOVERS were seen at Beach Grove in Tsawwassen. There were 2
TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRES at Lily Point, Point Roberts.

Near Lougheed Mall was a BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER.

Sightings for Thursday, May 2nd

A CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD was discovered on the west side of Queen Elizabeth
Park.

At Beach Grove Lagoon in Tsawwassen were 3 SEMI-PALMATED PLOVERS. In
Abbotsford, in the Matsqui Trail Area were 2 GREEN HERONS and a FRANKLIN'S
GULL.

Sightings for Wednesday, May 1st

At Burnaby Mountain Park, in cherry trees near the playground, was a
CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD.

A BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK was singing at the 2300 block of 154th Street,
South
Surrey. An ANNAS HUMMINGBIRD was seen at the west pond at Ambleside Park and
a WILSON'S WARBLER was near Lost Lagoon, Stanley Park.

In late reports for April 29th, a LEAST FLYCATCHER was heard calling in the
evening in the 4100 block of Garden Grove Drive in Burnaby. Ten GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were seen at 168th Street and 140th Avenue in Surrey. 97
WHIMBRELS were in a field near 8th avenue and 176th Street in Surrey. At
Iona were 12 YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS, a COMMON TERN and a male RING-NECKED
DUCK.
