This particular area is not Trendwest property, as witnessed by the Tow
Company sign and No Tresspassing sign. However, as long as we leave no
visible signs of our presence, it's a great place to bird. After Memorial
Day weekend, the fire department will likely be "patrolling" the Trendwest
property, where birders are welcome. (Bears are not uncommon there.) You may
also meet local homeowners who live at the far end of the long road.
Sometime in June, the gate to the Trendwest property will probably be closed
to the public due to extreme fire conditions.

The power company has removed trees and vegetation from under the power
lines, where some of the warblers would hang out.

Nearby, access to Bull Frog marsh has changed now that a guard rail has been
put up across the area where we could drive in and park.
