>From April 19 to 30, I was in Hong Kong on a very busy business trip.
Fortunately, I found a little time to bird. Here's what I saw:

Red-whiskered Bulbul
Black-billed Magpie
Eurasian Tree-sparrow
Black Kite
Little Egret
Rock Dove
Light-vented Bulbul
Crested Myna (enough to repopulate Vancouver!)
Spotted Dove
Common Sandpiper
Oriental Magpie-robin
Black-collared Starling
Yellow-rumped Flycatcher
White Wagtail
Masked Laughingthrush
White-rumped Munia
Cattle Egret
Black-crowned Night-heron
Barn Swallow
Great Egret
Collared Crow
Japanese White-eye
Common Tailorbird
Large-billed Crow
Hwamei
Yellow-crested Cockatoo (introduced)
Fork-tailed Swift
Rose-ringed Parakeet (introduced)

In Kowloon Park (still Hong Kong, but on the mainland, north of Hong Kong
island) there was a very nice pond full of ducks and geese. Some of these
birds were no doubt wild, but I couldn't differentiate between wild and the
captive. Still, it was fun to see the native species.
